The University of Arizona's Homepage debut on the internet pre-dates the world wide web.
Well
before there were web browsers, the first UA
internet site was displayed in a text-only program called Gopher in 1992.
The first true UA website appeared in 1994. The original homepage included 20 pages with about
100 hyperlinks. Today, there are more than 3,000 pages
with thousands
of hyperlinks that make up the main UA website.
